Police in Newark announced the arrest of Joseph Council, 55, of Newark, who was wanted in connection with several commercial burglaries in the 3rd Precinct.
According to a statement released by police, detectives from the 3rd Precinct gathered sufficient evidence identifying Council as a suspect in seven burglaries.
On Saturday at around12:30 a.m., police arrested Council near West Bigelow Street and Seymour Avenue without incident.
Authorities charged Council with multiple counts of burglary and criminal mischief.
