There were no injuries reported in a fire that damaged a house in Ridgefield Park overnight.
According to fire officials, the two-alarm blaze ignited at 139 East Grand Avenue Monday night sending firefighters to the scene where they observed smoke and flames coming from the second level of the two-story house just before midnight.
Firefighters at the scene made an aggressive interior attack as heavy fire began to spread inside the walls then extended to the attic officials said.
Crews were able to bring the blaze under control in just over an hour where they searched the home for trapped or injured occupants which came back negative.
Fire officials are investigating the possibility that electricity is the cause of the blaze.
