Newark fire officials are investigating a fire that ignited inside a vacant Newark house overnight.
Fire broke out in a three-story house located in the 90's block of Delevan Avenue just before midnight sending firefighters to the scene where they arrived to find heavy flames tearing through the roof of the wood-framed structure.
Firefighters stretched several lines where they were able to push their way into the structure to conduct a search for trapped and injured occupants.
Crews were able to bring the blaze under control in under an hour with no injuries reported.
