One Million Lottery Ticket Sold in North Bergen Last Year Unclaimed

N.J. Lottery Executive Director, announced that a second-tier prize winning ticket worth $1,000,000 from the Wednesday, September 18, 2013 Powerball drawing is about to expire.

Claimants have one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize and this ticket will expire on Thursday, September 18, 2014, if not validated.   The unclaimed winning ticket was purchased in Hudson County at Convenience Express, 8401 River Road in North Bergen.  The date of the draw was Wednesday, September 18, 2013. The winning numbers for that draw were:  07, 10, 22, 32 and 35. The Red Powerball number was 19. The $1,000,000 winning ticket would have matched the five white balls correctly.   “Everyone plays the lottery to win so when there is an unclaimed winning New Jersey Lottery ticket we need to notify the public,” said Hedinger.  

Anyone holding this winning ticket should immediately sign the back, contact Lottery Headquarters at 609-599-5801 or visit any Lottery retailer to validate the ticket and file their claim.  The ticket holder may have the ticket validated at any retailer and receive a confirmation slip that they can bring to Lottery Headquarters during business hours.   The State receives a minimum of 30 percent of the unclaimed prize money annually to fund Lottery beneficiaries. Special player promotions and Second Chance drawings, such as the Million Dollar Replay program, are also funded by the unclaimed prize fund, returning unclaimed winnings back to the Lottery playing public.  Please visit the NJLottery.com website and select the Where Lottery Money Goes tab to see where the State Treasury allocates Lottery revenue.
