Newark Police took Gloria Thomas, 52, and Eddie Grady, 31, both Newark residents, into custody for burglarizing a commercial business in the 3rd Precinct early this morning -Saturday-
Police say at approximately 10:47 a.m., police responded to a business in the 100 block of Christie Street on a citizen report of a burglary in progress.
Officers arriving at the scene found two suspects who burglarizing the business by stealing copper piping.
Both suspects, Thomas and Grady, were immediately apprehended without incident.
Police charged both suspects with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Police believe that the suspects’ charges may upgrade upon completion of the investigation.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
