The Essex County Prosecutor's Office are searching for a suspect wanted for a shooting that left a man dead on Sunday evening.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West at around 6:45 p.m. where officers arrived at the scene and found the victim identified as Tylil Bey-Blanchard, 21, suffering a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The unidentified victim was rushed to University Hospital where he died at 11:03 p.m. according to the prosecutor's office.
According to preliminary reports, a black male suspect exited a silver vehicle and began firing several shots in the direction of the victim before he sped away in the car from the scene.
The investitgation remains active and ongoing.
