Police in Toms River are investigating a crash that sent a man to the hospital Saturday afternoon.
Emergency responders rushed to the 1300 block of Toms River Road just before 3:45 p.m. where they arrived to find a car struck a pole at that location.
The adult male victim was airlifted to the hospital suffering a severe head injury according to authorities
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
