Two stabbing incidents reported in Irvington Township is under investigation by police.
According to preliminary reports, the first incident was reported at an address in the 40's block of Paine Avenue where police received notification of a stabbing with victims before noon.
Officers arriving at the scene took an unidentified person into custody and charged them with the assault while EMS transported the victims to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The second stabbing incident was reported in the vicinity of Springfield Avenue and South 40th Street at around 3 p.m. where EMS rushed a male victim to University Hospital suffering a stab injury to the chest.
The motive for both stabbings remain under investigation.
