A violent early morning stabbing that occurred in Union City has a woman fighting for her life in a hospital.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a residence in the 3600 block of New York Avenue after receiving reports of an injured person at that location.
Upon emergency responders' arrival, they found an unidentified, unconscious, and unresponsive woman suffering severe injuries after being stabbed multiple times.
EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital for treatment according to reports.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
There are no arrests reported at this time.
