Six people including two EMT's were transported to the hospital after an early morning crash that involved an ambulance in Newark.
According to a statement released by Newark Police, the incident happened at around 1:30 AM on Market Street and McCarter Highway.
Police say the ambulance was responding to an emergency call and was passing through the intersection when a civilian vehicle disregarded the ambulance's emergency lights and sirens which caused the ambulance to lose control and strike a pole.
None of the injuries sustained were considered life-threatening authorities said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
