Police in Elizabeth closed North Avenue to traffic between Jefferson and Pennsylvania Avenue after a truck became wedged under the bridge this afternoon.
The fully loaded truck attempted to pass through the area when it got stuck shortly before 3 p.m.
The impact of the collision sheared the roof of the truck and exposed its content.
There were no injuries reported.
