Firefighters in Newark battled a large two-alarm blaze that tore through a home in Newark overnight.
The massive fire broke out in the 200 block of Wright Street just before 1 a.m. sending police to the scene where they observed a two and a half story house fully engulfed in flames.

Crews battled fire that tore through the roof of the house, but firefighters were able to stop the blaze from destroying neighboring homes.
Firefighters searched the home, but there were no trapped of injured victims reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
