Authorities in Newark are investigating the circumstances behind that left a man dead this morning at the Woodland Cemetery.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to the Rose Street side of the graveyard after receiving reports of an unconscious male at around 10 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the male victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the chest at that location reports said.
Medics pronounced the unidentified male dead a short time later.
The motive behind the shooting has yet to be determined.
