Motorcyclist Dies in Route 80 Crash in Parsippany

Police release the identity of the motorcyclist killed in this morning's crash on Route 80 East, State Police said.

At about 11:40 a.m., Netcong Station troopers responded to Interstate 80 eastbound  in Parsippany for a report of a fatal accident involving a motorcycle and box truck.

Prelim art investigations revel raved that Alex Bloom, 21, of Andover was driving a 1999 Black Suzuki motorcycle eastbound when he rear-ended a 2006 White International box truck that was slowing down for traffic near milepost 42.

Boom was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:02 p.m. 

61-year-old Peter Haramis of Lynbrook, NY did not sustain any injuries. 

The accident blocked three several lanes of Route 80 East for approximately three hours during initial investigation.

 The crash remains under investigation.
