A verbal altercation that ended in a stabbing sent one person to the hospital overnight.
According to a statement released by Plainfield Police officials, the incident happened in the 500 block of West Front Street, just before 8:15 p.m., where police were called to the scene to investigate a stabbing with injuries reported.
Police say, two male adults engaged in an altercation that resulted in one of the men producing a sharp object and attacking the other.
Fast moving Plainfield Police officers located, then arrested the suspect while EMS rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment where he is "making good progress" officials said.
Police are continuing to investigate the official motive for the incident.
