No Injuries Reported in Early Morning Fire at Hospital in Holmdel

Fire officials in Holmdel are investigating a fire that ignited inside a break room at the Bayshore Medical Center.

According to a statement released by police, on Sunday, at 3:01 am, Holmdel Township Police Officers responded to Bayshore Medical Center for a report of a fire alarm coming from the 4th floor.

Officials say once the officers arrived, they determined that there was a small fire on the 4th-floor breakroom that was quickly extinguished by a ceiling mounted fire suppression system.

Holmdel Fire and First Aid continued to the scene and were assisted by the Monmouth County Fire Marshall, Hazlet, Union Beach, Keyport Fire Departments and Hazlet, Keyport and Union Beach First Aid according to Holmdel Police.

Officials say there were no reported injuries to any Bayshore Medical Center staff members, patients or first responders during the operation.
