Newark Building Surveillance Helps Nab Burglary Suspect

Newark

Police arrested a Newark burglar after the man’s actions were captured by the building’s surveillance camera footage.

According to police, at approximately 4:45 a.m., a man entered a residential building in the 300-block of Halsey Street and stole two laptop computers, a Dewalt Chop Saw, plumbing tools and a bicycle.

Police investigating this incident viewed the building’s surveillance cameras and identified Hezron Rodgers as a suspect in this burglary and theft.

Officers arrested Rodgers yesterday without incident in the area of Clinton and Hillside avenues and charged him with Burglary and Theft.

These charges are merely accusations. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
