Authorities are investigating an accident that left a woman dead this morning in Oakland.
According to reports, police were called to 18 Thackery Road shortly before 10 a.m. for a report of a pedestrian strike.
Residents say they observed the woman’s body on the ground covered by a white sheet near a Jeep Cherokee.
Police released very little information on the incident.
The incident is under investigation.
