Police in Newark are reporting that early this evening, Aaron McKinnon, 28, of Newark, wanted for stabbing a 33-year-old female this morning, was located and arrested.
According to police, shortly after 3 a.m., officers responded to the report of a domestic violence incident in the 60's block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The suspect, McKinnon, stabbed the victim numerous times before fleeing the residence police said.
The victim is receiving treatment at University Hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
According to pilice ,after 7:30 p.m. tonight, McKinnon was taken into custody at the 5th Precinct without incident then charged with criminal attempted murder, the unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
