Police in Jersey City are continuing to investigate a violent attack that left people injured at a mall in the city last night.
According to Jersey City officials, three males have been treated for non-life-threatening injuries after what appeared to be a "targeted attack" that occurred at the Newport Center Mall on Saturday evening.
Officials said, at approximately 6:30 p.m. EMS transported a 20-year-old victim to Jersey City Medical Center suffering multiple stab wounds.
Another 21-year-old victim was treated for wounds to his hands and has been uncooperative with police officials said.
A third victim refused to be transported to a hospital.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident appeared to have stemmed from a fist fight, which escalated to the trio being stabbed inside the JC Penny store.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
There were no arrests reported.
