An Atlantic City man pleaded guilty on Jan. 31st, to aggravated assault for striking a woman in 2015 in Atlantic City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.
According to authorities, Ibn Hunter, 27, pleaded guilty before Judge Jeffrey J. Waldman to second degree Aggravated Assault, for striking Emily Baccari in the facial area in an attempt to cause serious bodily injury on October 17, 2015, in Atlantic City.
In exchange for his plea, the State agreed to recommend a sentence of five years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to an 85% period of parole ineligibility under the No Early Release Act. Hunter will be subject to a three year term of parole supervision upon his release.
The defendant was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility, pending sentencing. The charges against co-defendant Anthony Faulkner are still active, and a court date has been set for Mar. 1st.
