Continued stepped up enforcement to ensure a clean environment for residents, business owners, and visitors to Newark had the police department make yet another arrest of an out of town suspect who allegedly dumped garbage on a city street then attempt to leave the scene.
In this case, police in Newark announced the arrest of Ms. Wendy V. Huacon-Guzman, 27, of Belleville, for the incident of illegal dumping.
According to police, approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force said they observed the suspect dumping household items and other debris from the rear of her vehicle.
Police immediately arrested Haucon-Guzman then charged her with illegal dumping and illegal transport of solid waste.
Police towed her vehicle and said it is subject to forfeiture depending on the disposition of the case.
These charges are merely accusations. Ms. Huacon-Guzman is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
