Airline employees can probably write books with all the incidents they encounter daily but this might just be a first even for them.
According to Live and Let Fly, earlier this week a Brooklyn artist and Dexter, her service peacock, attempted to board her flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Los Angeles but was reportedly not allowed to board.
The passenger claims she even bought the bird its own seat but was still not allowed to board.
United Airlines however in a statement said the following, “This animal did not meet guidelines for a number of reasons, including its weight and size. We explained this to the customers on three separate occasions before they arrived at the airport.”
According to the birds Instagram page, the travelers have opted to drive to their destination.
