Newark Police announced the arrest of Mr. Argeu Dosrios, 39, of Newark and Mr. Jose Silva, 59, of Linden, for an incident of illegal dumping Wednesday.
According to a statement released by police officials, at approximately 3 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force were surveilling a vacant city lot near the intersection of Dickerson and 3rd Street when they observed a male removing debris from a nearby house under construction and dumping it in the city-owned lot.
Police said the suspects, identified as Dosri and Silva were taken into custody at the scene and charged with illegal dumping.
These charges are merely accusations.
Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
