A 27-year-old Bank of America employee was arrested after she allegedly stole over $16,000 from customers’ bank accounts.
According to authorities, the Middle Township Police Department received information from the Bank of America, located in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, and from various customers that money had been removed from their bank accounts by an unknown subject.
An investigation determined that a Bank of America employee, later identified as Kelsie Juliano, 27 of Millville, stole United States currency from four customers between June 21, 2017 and October 10, 2017. During that time, Juliano stole $16,700.00 from four customers.
Police said Juliano was employed at the Bank of America, located at 1 North Main Street in Cape May Court House, from May, 26, 2015 until she was terminated on November, 8, 2017.
According to authorities, on nine different occasions, Juliano processed withdrawals, authorized transactions, and forged the victims’ signatures on sign signature pad to ultimately remove money from their accounts.
Bank of America does not believe that any other customer(s) were victimized by Juliano, after conducting a universal analytical review during the entire duration of Juliano’s employment.
Police charged Juliano with nine counts of Theft, a third-degree crime, and nine counts of Forgery, also a third-degree crime.
Bank of America has since reimbursed all of the victim’s money, police added.
These crimes were investigated by the Middle Township Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.
