Police in Newark are on the search for two suspects wanted for an armed robbery of a liquor store that occurred in the city's South Ward on Tuesday night.
According to police, the incident happened at in the 100 block of Avon Avenue, shortly before 6:30 p.m., where the suspects entered the establishment armed with a black gun and demanded cash from employees.
The suspects reportedly took an unknown amount of cash before running from the scene.
Police described the suspects as a light-complexioned male and a female who wore a grey hooded sweatshirt.
There were no physical injuries reported.
