Elizabeth Police followed a vehicle out of the city overnight that was occupied by suspects wanted for several Newark felonies.
According to preliminary reports, Elizabeth authorities spotted a vehicle on Jefferson Avenue near East Grand Street that broke traffic laws in the area.
When police attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped away and led police on a pursuit reports said.
The vehicle sped northbound onto Spring Street, then into Newark, where officers lost the vehicle in the vicinity of Broad Street and Raymond Boulevard.
The vehicle is reported as a 4-door white 2008 Scion with a reported NJ license plate number "WYH-63Y".
There were injuries reported, and the driver remains at-large.
