Paterson Police are on the search for an armed carjacking suspect who targeted a victim in a neighborhood in the city this evening.
The incident happened in the 70's block of Jefferson Street at around 5 p.m. where the victim was approached by a male suspect who was armed with a gun and wearing a mask.
Authorities said the suspect took a 2-door 2010 Mercedes Benz with a reported NJ license plate number "T12-DHA"
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
The suspect remains at-large.
**UPDATE 7:30 p.m.** Rutgers Newark Police attempted to pull over this vehicle on West Market Street and Bergen in Newark. The driver sped away.
**UPDATED 8:08 p.m**. The vehicle has been recovered in the 100 block of Bergen Street. Suspects from the vehicle then ran from the scene. Paterson Police have been notified.
