A barrage of gunfire erupted in a neighborhood on the 200 block of Ellis Ave. yesterday afternoon sending a male victim to University Hospital in Newark with multiple gun shot wounds.
Police responded to shots fired shortly before 5 p.m. when they reportedly found the male victim struck in the chest and abdomen at the above location. Authorities setup a crime scene and canvassed the area for a possible shooter.
There has reportedly been about 4 shootings in the city within the last two weeks.
The suspect is still at-large.
