Garfield Police conducted an active search for a wanted person yesterday afternoon according to a police captain.
Authorities said information was obtained that Ariel Drapcynski, 30, whose last known address was in Garfield may have been armed and at a Plauderville Ave residence. Officers set up a perimeter and have been attempting to establish contact with the wanted person. Authorities said contact was made with the suspect but a search of the house were Drapcynski was believed to be, came up empty. Authorities also searched two other locations with negative results according to the police captain.
Officers from the Garfield Police, Elmwood Park Police, and Bergen County Police were active in the investigation.
