Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Deputy Chief of Investigations Stephen Wilson Offers Career Advice at Bergen Catholic

Morris County

Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, on Jan. 8th, invited back some of their most distinguished alumni for ‘CAREERS4CRUSADERS’ career fair.

Current high school seniors, college students, and recent college alumni were all encouraged to attend the event in the Bergen Catholic gymnasium, as a networking tool for their futures.

For two hours, they had the opportunity to walk around and learn more about careers in multiple fields, from people who walked the same halls as them in the past.

Deputy Chief of Investigations Stephen Wilson, a Bergen Catholic graduate in 1989, attended ‘CAREERS4CRUSADERS’ to discuss careers in law enforcement with these young men. There were around 80 participants, walking from booth to booth looking to make connections for internships, jobs, or even just a mentor for the future.

Deputy Chief Wilson has been in law enforcement for close to 25 years, and is the type of professional the next generation could learn an enormous amount from.

Following the event he said, “I believe that law enforcement is a noble profession and one that I have had the honor to serve in. I want to deliver that message to the next generation and make them aware of the vast amount of opportunities in this diverse field. I hope that in sharing my experience and knowledge they can make informed decisions when contemplating a career in law enforcement.”
