Authorities are investigating an overnight armed robbery that was reported in Newark.
Police patrolling the area of 7th Avenue and North 7th Street were flagged down by a person who reported to them that an unidentified male suspect approached armed with a gun and took his jacket, pants, and boots.
The victim described the suspect as a black male -with a beard- who wore dark clothing and possessed a black handgun.
There were no physical injuries reported in the incident.
