A violent attack on a man at a Gloucester Township gas station has police investigating.
The incident happened at the Citgo Station located in the Blackwood community where police were called to the establishment to investigate an assault in progress report.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found a male victim suffering a severe head injury and other locations according to preliminary reports.
EMS rushed the victim to Cooper Medical Center in serious but stable condition as medical staff at the hospital treated the man for a skull injury reports said.
Police investigating at the scene were told that the victim was attacked and struck with a crowbar by an unidentified assailant for an unspecified reason.
There were no official reports of arrests made.
