An 83-year-old man drove his vehicle into a local cleaners Sunday morning, according to police.
Police responded to the Five Points Shopping Mall located at 338 Chestnut Street for a motor vehicle accident shortly before 11 a.m., according to police.
Rescuers extricated the driver and his wife - both Cranford resident- from the vehicle after driver accelerated instead of braking.
No injuries were reported.
The Cranford residents were both uninjured in the crash and fortunately the dry cleaners was closed at the time of the accident," Lt. Robert J. Christie said.
The crash is being investigated by Officer Frederick Sa of the Traffic Safety Bureau.
