Newark firefighters made fast work out of fire that ignited inside a vacant building in the city's Ironbound section on Wednesday evening.
The fast-moving fire happened at 24 Garden Street shortly before 5 p.m. where crews arrived and found a dense smoke condition inside the structure.
Crews were able to make access inside the building where the began to pour water onto the fire that caused damaged to the building.
There were no trapped on injured occupants inside the building.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
