There is an active investigation underway on a street in Orange as police and detective look into a shooting that has two people shot with one of the victims suffering fatally.
According to authorities, just before 7:30 p.m multiple rounds of gunfire rang out on Taylor Street sending police to the scene where they found two victims struck by bullets.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene while EMS rushed the remaining person to University Hospital for treatment.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office are on the scene and has taken over the investigation.
There are no arrests reported at this time.
This incident is the second shooting in the city with three people injured in less than 24-hours.
The victim of the Park Avenue shooting that occurred just after midnight New Year's Day is continuing to fight for his life at University Hospital according to reports.
