Police in Newark announced the arrest of Mr. Desi S. Lee, 37, of Newark, a suspect in a murder that occurred on Saturday, October 28th of this year.
According to authorities, just after midnight, police responded to Voorhees Street, near Fabyan Place, on a call of shots fired.
Police said two male victims arrived at University Hospital, where one male was pronounced, and the other was treated then released.
According to police Desi S. Lee, a suspect in this incident was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task Force.
Newark Police apprehended Lee last night in response to a call of a suspicious man in the area of 12th Avenue and 11th Street.
Police said they found Lee in possession of three vials of cocaine during the arrest.
Police have additionally charged Less with Contempt of Court, CDS Possession, Obstruction of Justice and Hindering Apprehension.
These charges lodged against Lee are mere accusations. Lee is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
