Elizabeth police issued a Brooklyn man two tickets after he struck a pedestrian with his vehicle Tuesday evening.
According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Lidgerwood and South Elmora avenues for a report of a pedestrian strike shortly after 6 p.m.
Upon arrival police learned, the driver - a Brooklyn man - was making a left turn onto Lidgerwood and South Elmora avenues when he knocked a woman to the ground with his vehicle as she attempted crossing the street.
The woman was not seriously injured but was taken to Trinitas for treatment, police added.
Police issued the driver two tickets, a no turn on red and failure to stop for pedestrian.
