An early morning multi-vehicle crash that killed two people and injured six others remains under investigation.
According to police, officers responded Woodbridge to Route 440 just past the NJ Turnpike interchange for a report of a serious crash shortly before 6 a.m.
Authorities said , the seven vehicle crash caused as many as four vehicles to be consumed in flames.
Police confirmed that two people were killed as a result of the crash while six others were taken to local hospitals with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Drivers should avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the investigation is completed.
