A shooting that has one person suffering severe injuries has police in a neighborhood in Linden at this time.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 800 block of Cleveland Street shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found a male victim suffering a life-threatening gunshot wound at that location.
EMS rush the victim to Trinitas Hospital while police and school officials conducted as "shelter in place" status for students and staff at school #5.
There is an active investigation underway.
