An Elizabeth home was severely damaged after a fire broke out early this morning.
Crews responded to the 100 block of Court Street for a report of a house fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames coming from the attic of the 2.5 story residence.
A primary search of the home was negative for occupants.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the five displaced residents.
