Police in Newark are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a liquor store in Newark's North Ward last night.
According to preliminary reports, two male suspects entered the business that's located in the 600 block of Mount Prospect Avenue -near Heller Parkway- shortly before 8 p.m. and announced a robbery.
The suspects reportedly brandished a handgun and demanded cash from an employee according to the report.
Both men were wearing dark-colored cloth when they fled the scene northbound on Mt. Prospect reports said.
There were no physical injuries reported.
