An overnight robbery that left a man shot in Newark has police searching for suspects.
The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Summer Avenue where police responded to reports of shots fired at that location.
Units arriving at the scene found the victim suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm.
According to preliminary reports, the victim reported to authorities that two males approached armed with a weapon and demanded cash and personal possessions.
The victim reportedly deployed pepper spray on the suspects before one of the men fired at least one shot that struck him.
Police are looking for two black males who were last observed wearing dark clothing when they fled the scene on foot.
The suspects remain at-large.
