Bayonne Police are investigating a shooting
that injured a man in the city this afternoon.
Police rushed to the intersection of 19th West 19th Street and Avenue C at around 2:00 after receiving reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found a man on the ground bleeding from the chest and leg after a gunman fired several rounds from a gun and struck the victim.
EMS rushed the victim to Jersey City Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Police believe that two suspects exited a vehicle operted by an Uber driver then shot the victim.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
There were no other injuries.
