Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $237,238 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Saturday, Nov. 25 drawing.
Each ticket is worth $118,619. The winning numbers were: 01, 05, 06, 11 and 18 and the XTRA number was: 02.
Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
Essex County: R & S Deli and Grocery, 269 Halstead St., East Orange; and
Ocean County: 7-Eleven #11039, 217 Route 70, Lakehurst.
Executive Director Carole Hedinger said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at R & S Deli and Grocery and 7-Eleven #11039. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”
Executive Director Carole Hedinger announced that there were 338,360 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 121 ticketholders won $240 each and 18 others won $480 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 2,972 ticketholders won $10 each and 520 others won $20 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly, 5,123 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
