Police in Newark seek the public’s help in locating Mr. Gregorio Acosta, wanted fo allegedly burglarizing the Greater Liberty Temple church located at 491 Orange Street on November 18th.
Police said at approximately 2:00 a.m., Acosta entered the church after compromising one of the exterior doors.
After opening the safe and removing cash, police said Acosta exited the church.
According to authorities the keys were left in the safe’s lock.
Detectives investigating the burglary obtained a warrant for Acosta’s arrest after obtaining sufficient evidence.
Police said Acosta is 49-years-old and approximately 5’7” in height, 165lbs,'with brown hair and eyes.
While police are actively searching for Acosta, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and removing him from city streets.
