A pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle in Roselle overnight has authorities investigating.
The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of East St. Georges and Wood avenues where emergency responders were called to the scene after they received 911 calls that a person was struck by a vehicle at that location.
Police arriving at the scene found the severely injured victim laying on the ground suffering life-threatening injuries.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where medical staff made the pronouncement a short time later.
Detectives established a crime scene where they gathered information to determine what caused the accident.
