A Lawrence Township man has been arrested in a fatal shooting at the Applebee's near the Quakerbridge Mall
Police on Sunday arrested a Lawrence Township wanted for an execution style shooting at the Applebee’s restaurant just outside the Quakerbridge Mall.
According the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office, Mr. Noel Powell III, 27, was arrested at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Authorities charged Powell with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon in the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Mr. Devin Smith, of Lawrence Township.
Police believe Powell is the suspect who shot Smith in the head while he drank alone at the bar on Tuesday morning, Nov. 14 just after midnight.
Medics pronounced Smith dead at the scene.
Authorities believe that Smith and Powell had an unresolved feud which escalated in the violent interaction.
Smith's murder was the first in the Township some 2001.
