There is heavy police activity in the 200 block of Court Street with at least one school locked down as police search for a suspect wanted for a shots fired incident.
Details are developing but according to preliminary reports, police began chasing a male suspect in the area where confirmed shots were fired and offcials placed School 8 on lockdown.
It is not immediately clear if police opened fire on the suspect or if the suspect fired at police at this time.
The suspect is reportedly a black male who wore a black leather jacket.
There are no injuries reported "at this time".
Avoid the area for the investigation.
UPDATE: 4:25 pm - Officers were in area of 5th Street and Magnolia around 2:09 pm where they saw a male with gun. A foot pursuit ensued. The male was last seen in area of South Park. State police among other entities responded to assist in locating the suspect.
