Newark Police seeks the public’s help in locating a man wanted for questioning regarding an robbery that occurred on October 11th.
Police said at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery near the intersection of Taylor Street and Summer Avenue.
The victim reported that he and two other men were outside when two suspects exited a black Honda and robbed them at gunpoint.
According to police, after taking the victims' wallets, the suspects re-entered the Honda and fled east on Taylor Street.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The man is described as a black male, approximately 5’9”, 180lbs, with a small goatee and a tattoo of a crucifix and a teardrop below his right eye.
Police said he wore a black hooded sweatshirt.
The remaining suspect is approximately 5’6”, 150lbs. with a tattoo on his face, although it wasn’t identifiable.
The man wore black pants and a navy blue hooded sweatshirt.
While police are actively searching for the suspect and his accomplice, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing them from city streets.
The investigation is continuing.
